Something exciting is coming from The Second Half Trust. We are delighted to announce plans for Second Half Fest, a brand new football and music festival bringing together football, live music, community and fundraising for a very special day.
This will be much more than a charity football match. It will be a celebration of football, music, friendship and the importance of coming together and supporting each other through life's second half.
Legends, celebrities and a very different team
At the heart of Second Half Fest will be a special charity football match featuring former Bristol Rovers and Bristol City players and celebrities, taking on a very different team.
The Second Half Trust Fundraising XI. And there is a catch.
Anyone wanting to play for the Fundraising XI will need to raise a minimum of £150 for The Second Half Trust to earn their place. So, if you've ever fancied sharing a football pitch with former Rovers and City players, celebrities and sporting personalities, this could be your chance.

Football by day. Live music by night.
When the final whistle goes, the football boots will be replaced by guitars, microphones and live entertainment. Second Half Fest will continue into the evening with live bands and music, creating a proper festival atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. There will also be food and drink, fundraising activities, merchandise, a raffle and auction, and plenty more to be announced.
Whether you're coming for the football, the music, the community or simply to support The Second Half Trust, we want Second Half Fest to be an event that everyone can enjoy.
More than a festival
At the heart of Second Half Fest is the reason The Second Half Trust exists. We want to support athletes across all sports who are navigating life after sport and help people understand that the end of a sporting career does not mean the end of your purpose.
Our message is simple: Talk. Trust. Heal.
Second Half Fest will bring that message to life by creating a place where people can come together, talk, laugh, support one another and enjoy themselves.
Coming in 2027
The first Second Half Fest is planned for 2027, with the venue, date, bands, former players, celebrities and ticket information to be announced in due course. We're working behind the scenes to make this something really special. And this is only the beginning.
Our ambition is for Second Half Fest to become an annual event that grows year after year, bringing people together while raising vital awareness and funds for The Second Half Trust.
