Standing together for mental health in sport
Sport brings people together, building lifelong friendships, identity, and resilience. Yet behind every player is a person facing challenges that often extend far beyond the pitch. The Second Half Trust partners with clubs across Manchester and the wider UK to champion men's mental health, break persistent stigmas, and support players through competition, injury, and life after retirement.
"Partnering with Second Half Trust has helped us show our squad that mental health matters just as much as points on Saturday. The awareness campaigns and open environment have genuinely shifted how our lads talk to each other in the changing room."

"Second Half Trust provides simple, powerful resources that help grassroots clubs like ours support player welfare. Knowing our players have signposted avenues for help beyond the pitch gives our entire coaching team immense confidence."

"Leaving competitive sport or dealing with long-term injury can leave athletes feeling completely lost. Second Half Trust gives clubs the vocabulary and support framework to ensure no player ever feels abandoned when they step away."
